vg-network.com - once upon a time a real good newssite (called Daves Videogame Classics, one of the first emulator related newspages ever) also seems to go down the drain...

Okay, by the name of the page, we now know that they use Joomla (an OpenSource CMS).

But... what the heck do you mean with "kthx" and "jnjhh" in your Main and User Menu?
What language is that? Old Greek? Alien?

Anyways, here's a screenshot:

But that's not all!
The "Privacy Policy" page simply doesn't exist...

... and the news are still from the Mambo Team (well, Mambo is the former name of Joomla)... maybe you should change all the default texts and links BEFORE you make a CMS public...?

Maybe you might consider getting the help from somebody who knows what he's doing...?

Oh, and looking at the banners on top of the page... you surely are a worthy competitor for PSPUpdates.com for having most banners on least space...

You just don't understand, there are only a few members on our forums that accept the new FreePSP's, I myself do not support it, but I still support the site because they need money, they need to do this to have the site stay up.

True. It is so extremly expensive to run a webpage these days. We bet, FrozenIpaq, you never had to care about webhosting and similar things before. You have no clue so just shut up and don't tell garbage.

I do not quite agree with the new freepsp's, but a site has to stay up. You have not even participated in the forum community, this is PSPUpdates strong point, the community. These forums are the best their is with over 20,000+ members and over 100,000 posts.

We must accept the fact that there are 20.000+ members, not everyone is running a lame referral-competition and cheats his sponsors like pspupdates. Clever step, money making is not everyone's bussiness. If only 500 of those 20k+ members pay for a premium account: Uuu, let's do a calclation:

500 Premium Members x 2,99 US$ / month
Total income per month = 1495 US$

This is ENOUGH money to pay a server even with terrabytes of transfers, but don't forget they are having Popups and over 4 regular ads too and how could we forget - the google ads are there too. Remember: The calculation is done for 500 paying members per month but they have 20k+ members. No one in this world can say this is a community service. PSPupdates are even cheating their own boardmods and say they are so poor. Sad!

Plus, we don't ban people because they disagree with the site, that is totally wrong. We may close their thread to prevent flaming, but now we have a rant section.

We at emunoobs have seen that several times, so stop talking garbage again. Even myself (Nadeiko) has bad experience with pspupdates deleting normal critism.

Emunoobs used to be a newspage which gently uses mistakes to report about them in a sarcastic way, but PSPupdates are an exception. We also suggest you to inform everyone about their actions.

Update: While the Amiga Collection which is advertised on the banner seems to contain PD games, the other collections contain "+15000 C64" games etc, so noone can tell us this aren't warez.

after some research, we at emunoobs, along with two unmentioned contributors found out that pspupdates along with their sister sites is a network which is PLAIN COMMERCIAL. yes COMMERCIAL, they are in the scene for money only. they do not care about homedevelopers, they care about their income.

psphacker.com is registered to a holding company

pspupdates.com is registered to a jonathan who's bussiness page is mysupersales.com

but before we take all the fun for you, complete the puzzle yourself, do some research by your own.

when pspupdates was called psphacker, they claimed that they do something for the scene. this is wrong. they do something for their pocket.

they have lots of popups and banners. considering: they must earn well

they don't care about homedevelopers, otherwise they would always give full credits to them including a link to their page

they have even enough money to buy vbulletin licenses for their webboard

did you always wonder why they "report" memory sticks and other stuff as news? how much money do you think do they get for those product-presentations?

they always claim to be the number one information source and destroy the honest work of a couple of serious webmasters who have partitially a much better service. this agressive untrue advertisement, of course, let the people make think you are the only and best source. untrue.

pspupdates and sister pages are seeking for staff who moderate their webboard, of course they don't pay anything for that task. as already mentioned early in the morning, they are just in need of workingslaves at no extra cost. this increases their income a lot and the poor "moderator" thinks he is even doing a service to the community.

ATTENTION:We do not know if the domainholder is in any form connected with the psphacker/pspupdates etc project itself, we can just try to count 1 and 1 together. one thing is sure: pspupdates and sister pages are not a free community service, they are into it for $ €
