pspupdates: copy and paste madness

We got an email from Heinrich, saying this:

From the news update for "HuE for PSP v0.62pre1"

"The PC Engine was and is a very small video game console, due
primarily to a very efficient three-chip architecture and its use of
HuCards, credit-card sized data cartridges."

From the wikipedia entry for PC Engine

"The PC Engine was and is a very small video game console, due
primarily to a very efficient three-chip architecture and its use of
HuCards, credit-card sized data cartridges."

Pretty nice how they copy and paste useless information to add some
substance to their articles. (What does the size of a console have to
do with an emulator for it?)

Great little site, keep up the good work.

1emulation: news now with credits but wrong version number

Free Image Hosting at

We at emunoobs are unsure what General Plot had for breakfast today, but it must caused a big harm to him. Now he credits emulation9 for an obsucre TI calculator. But instead of getting the correct version number as statet out on emulation9, General Plot just decides to post about the previous old release. What a black day for 1emulation.

1emulation: stealing news - exact copy and paste from other pages

we at emunoobs are really happy about the reactivation of 1emulation. this way we present this scandalous thing:

news from retroguru:

news from 1emulation:

does this look familiar? shame on your general plot! (-;

dsupdates: out of news, lets post twice

Free Image Hosting at

the dudes at ndsupdates are out of news, why not posting things twice? best strategy: three days time difference, so no person will recognize it. what a shame we at emunoobs did recognize it! (-;

1emulation: wrong headline

"General Plot" from 1emulation reports about Nonpareil? Well - not exactly! The text of the description fits to nsim, but not Nonpareil. Even the nsim port page is linked. Probably you should have checked the headline twice before submitting news? (-; Thanks to Kojote for the news, whom we at emunoobs will get again in the future [-:

What does "kthx" and "jnjhh" mean? - once upon a time a real good newssite (called Daves Videogame Classics, one of the first emulator related newspages ever) also seems to go down the drain...

Okay, by the name of the page, we now know that they use Joomla (an OpenSource CMS).

But... what the heck do you mean with "kthx" and "jnjhh" in your Main and User Menu?
What language is that? Old Greek? Alien?

Anyways, here's a screenshot:

Free Image Hosting at

But that's not all!
The "Privacy Policy" page simply doesn't exist...

Free Image Hosting at

... and the news are still from the Mambo Team (well, Mambo is the former name of Joomla)... maybe you should change all the default texts and links BEFORE you make a CMS public...?

Maybe you might consider getting the help from somebody who knows what he's doing...?

Oh, and looking at the banners on top of the page... you surely are a worthy competitor for for having most banners on least space...

German forks are the best

Our german visitor XTale kindly submitted this odd german emunews site. Three different domains one content one mistake.

This is what XTale said:

why you need to run 3 different emu-news sites? To put the wrong
version number on all of them:

They all found mame 0.100u2"

EXEmu More babes!

Apparently EXEmus visitors don't care for emulation related news. The news are months old - yet the visitors just beg for more babes. Maybe this could save Zophars also? :-)

we hope you guys are not on the same path as zophar's domains - 3 weeks no update? what a shame!!! (-;

zophar's domain: 592 news in queue

Free Image Hosting at

I was bored and was thinking, let's send news to Zophars Domain once again. 592 news are in queue - we at emunoobs wonder if anyone checks that stuff ever? (-; maybe it also just goes to /dev/null (-: so many staff members and all of them seem to be lazy. a real shame - as we mentioned it a couple of times, the glory times of this page are for sure history.

pspupdate: stealing news without credits - back to the roots

Free Image Hosting at

a new version of pspgba is out - released at psp-news ( ). pspupdates have stolen the news, they even ripped the picture without credits to psp-news. how poor is this? i guess nothing you would expect from a 24/7 #1 trusted newspage

flame of the day: pspupdates user check

Today we start to have something new - yes! Emunoobs is proud to present "FLAME OF THE DAY". For the first "FLAME OF THE DAY" we look at the userbase of our beloved "#1 trusted - 24/7 hours" news page "PSPUpdates". Of course this posting should not mean that everyone at pspupdates is a zero [-:

Here are comments of the recently released GBA Emulator PSP GBA v1.0:

Why in the world is this so slow? The PSP is much more powerful than a GBA. The GBA is essentially the same hardware as the SNES (just smaller), and we already have perfect SNES emulators. Is this just shabby coding?

By nightrose, at 1:40 PM

Oooooii! Why in the world you don't code yourself?

Pokemon doesnt run fast enough :(

So far the only fully playble game Ive found was "Love Hina",becouse its basicly only still pictures and you answere questions in it.

By FaSMaN, at 1:46 PM

Ooooi! No Pokemon? What a pitty!

i would also like a 1:1 screen size...if possible the actual screen looks awful.

By asher, at 5:38 PM

Ever heared that magic word called "please"?

I was wondering when a GBA emu was gonna be made. Took long enough.. heh

By Yatahaze, at 5:54 PM

Yeeeeeeeea! If you would follow the scene, you would know that there was a port of Visual Advance before. As for most things: First get information - then talk

well, its great, but the sound is crap because the sound card opn the PSP is different than the GBA also. so ti needs work, but is great progress so i give big kudos to thsi guy! and i wanna see improvements REAL bad!

By RaiderX, at 7:32 PM

Soundcard??? (-; Allright! [-:

As we see, many experts! Almost as leet as the guys who run the page (-;

pspupdates: just released

The demogroup Hitmen just released PSPInside 0.9p right?
Free Image Hosting at

At least according to PSPU this is a "just released" tool. Too bad that the homepage of the group "Hitmen" says 31.08.2005
Free Image Hosting at

Basicly the release is "only" 1 month and 2 weeks old. So that is what pspupdates are calling "just released". We at emunoobs must admit, we never seen such a fast news service. *thumbsup* (-;

Emulated circles

Well, I tried my best to find any other sites with mistakes besides PSPUpdates. I'm afraid I haven't found one.
Don't blame me for that, I don't post errors 24/7!

Anyways, I found this interesting sidenote by Dan at a homegrewn game news post:

Cool. An emulator emulating circles - written in LUA! That surely is some great news!

Maybe somebody should tell Dan that not EVERYTHING released on the PSP is an emulator...?

pspupdates: experts at work

Free Image Hosting at

little mike from this 24/7 "up to the minute news" page called pspupdates is a true expert, no doubt. does anyone on earth knows why he just simply copy and paste a link and does not bother to remove the session id?

While we are at 24/7 news - how comes most psp-news-related pages had those news yesterday night?

The world's first SidPlayer!

Hey, did you know the world's first SID Player had been released recently?
If it wasn't for, I wouldn't known this. I could've sweared that there had been some SID Players around since years... but maybe that was just my imagination.

Free Image Hosting at

Hmm... maybe someone should tell these guys there's more in the world than the #1 PSP... and that some SID Players may have been released on the PC years ago...
